This is to inform that the New Zealand Government has announced the requirement of fumigation of all containers originated from risk countries  to protect from the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (BMSB) during the period of September 1^st., 2026 (arrivals) till April 30th., 2027.

Cargoes that definitely do not require treatment are:

• Agricultural compounds and veterinary medicines;
• Food for human consumption (including beverages);
• Fresh produce;
• Leather goods (apparel and furniture)
• Pet food;
• Pharmaceutical products;
• Polyurethane bales and foam products;
• Seed for sowing;
• Tank-tainers
• Textiles (including yarn).
• Food Packaging

For all other commodities a declaration has been issued in which the manufacturer is obliged to declare whether goods have been stored indoors between the manufacturing process and final exportation to New Zealand.
